Sta. Rita cops net 2 drug peddlers

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga–Two suspected drug pushers were arrested in a police drug buy bust near the boundaries of both Sta. Rita and Guagua towns the other day.

Police identified the suspects as Glen Mariano, 27, a resident of Barangay Dila Dila, Sta. Rita, Pampanga and Randy Pineda, 26, also of the same barangay.

Police said they received an information from a confidential agent at about 11 a.m. that Mariano would be at the boundary of Barangay Becuran in Sta. Rita town and Barangay Natividad in Guagua town to sell shabu.

At about 1 p.m. after police authorities have posted themselves around the area, Mariano arrived aboard a motorcycle driven by Pineda.

A police poseur-buyer immediately transacted with Mariano and was able to buy shabu.
After Mariano handed the illegal substance, the police grabbed him at once.

Confiscated from Mariano were a piece of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing shabu, the marked money used in the operation and a Kawasaki motorcycle.
