109 wanted persons arrested in two months

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — An official from the Pampanga Police Provincial Office revealed that at least 109 wanted persons in the province were arrested over the past two months.
Police Superintendent Edgardo Tinio, police provincial director, said nine of the arrested individuals belong to the list of top 20 most wanted persons (MWPs) for various crimes such as murder, rape, frustrated homicide, qualified theft and violations of special laws.
Tinio credited this accomplishment on the active involvement of various communities in police operations.
“Without the information provided by concerned citizens and the commitment of the PNP (Philippine National Police) of the different municipal and city police stations to track down their hiding places and go after them, these perpetrators will continue to evade the law,” he added.
The top cop also lauded the sincerity of elected officials to maintain peace and order in the community, which led to the speedy arrest of the said wanted persons.
Pampanga police office has been swift in giving away awards and commendations to PNP personnel in recognition of their accomplishments on wanted persons.
Recently, Police Chief Inspector Paul Gamido, San Simon town chief of police, was commended for the arrest of numbers 1 and 14 MWPs in his area of responsibility.
Police Chief Superintendent Romeo Balubal Jr., Masantol town chief of police, was also recognized for arresting a wanted person involved in a frustrated murder case in his area.
Masantol municipal police station (MPS) ranked number 4 among the 21 MPS with the most number of arrested wanted persons.
The top three MPS were Mabalacat MPS under the leadership of Superintendent Rodney Baloyo IV with 14 arrests for the past two months, followed by San Fernando City police station headed by Superintendent Luisito Magnaye with 13 arrests and Guagua police station headed by Superintendent Rolly Mendoza with 11 arrests made.
