ANGELES CITY \u2013 The Partido Abe Kapampangan (AbeKa) dared Congressman Carmelo \u201cTarzan\u201d Lazatin the other day to bare his true state of health and if he is physically fit to run the City Hall should he win in the upcoming polls.<\/p>\n
Abeka secretary general William Aquilar said in statement that Lazatin\u2019s alleged failing health has been manifested during several occasions in the campaign trail like reportedly dropping a microphone, nearly falling during a barangay caucus, allegedly forgetting where he was, and \u201cwrongly\u201d introducing his allies.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe people are entitled to know the true state of health of Mr. Lazatin. Is he fit to run city hall, in the remote possibility that he wins? Or he will just allow unelected surrogates and impersonators to rule over us,\u201d said Aguilar in the statement, adding \u201cwe could let these reports pass as just simple booboos. But we are worried that these could be the main fare of a Lazatin administration. Angelenos deserve better, we need a dynamic leadership to keep up with fast-paced development.\u201d<\/p>\n
However, Lazatin simply laughed-off the statements and countered Abeka and Aguilar\u2019s dare with a challenge to \u201carm wrestle\u201d until his detractors drop.<\/p>\n
Coming out to meet some media practitioners at his \u201cJungle Base\u201d headquarters on Wednesday, Tarzan practically proved he was in tip-top shape, looking strong and younger in a deep red shirt tucked in pants without the usual suspenders.<\/p>\n
