ANGELES CITY \u2013 Former Congressman Francis \u201cBlueboy\u201d Nepomuceno on Thursday described as \u201cignorant\u201d his rival in the congressional race, Pampanga Vice Governor Joseller \u201cYeng\u201d Guiao.<\/p>\n
Nepomuceno was reacting to Guiao\u2019s statement branding the former as non performer in the House of Representative.<\/p>\n
\u201cLike a drowning man, Vice Gov. Joseller \u201cYeng\u201d Guiao is clutching at anything to keep afloat. He is even digging his feet in slime just to keep his nose above the water,\u201d Blueboy said.<\/p>\n
Nepomuceno added that Guiao\u2019s \u201cignorance of the true facts has led him to call me a non-performer. My accomplishments as Congressman can be verified in the House of Representatives. Listing them in detail will require valuable space.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cConstituents of the first\u00a0district do not need to be convinced of the projects I have infused in the area. My work performance outside Congress has been the reason why they have voted me as their Representative,\u201d Nepomuceno added.<\/p>\n
He also said that his single term as mayor of Angeles City had been focused on social transformation.<\/p>\n
\u201cAngeles, during my term, had been known far and wide as the \u2018City of Friendship,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n
Nepomuceno said that the shortcomings of his administration as city mayor have been exaggerated.<\/p>\n
According to him, political realities and human limitations had hindered his efforts to finish and realize what he had started to build. \u201cMy life, my fortune, and my future lie in Angeles City. This is my investment in the future of the community to which Mr. Guiao has not spent a peso as his due. Why should our cabalen support him when he has brought nothing, not even a sari-sari store, to a place where he is a virtual visitor?\u201d<\/p>\n
Nepomuceno claimed that Guiao does not reside in Pampanga province although he reportedly took residence inside the Clark Freeport.<\/p>\n
He also cited Guiao\u2019s improper behavior as a \u201chot-headed\u201d basketball coach.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn branding me as non-performer, let us not lose sight of the fact that Mr. Guiao is a super-performer. His reprehensible and improper behavior as a hot-headed basketball coach had been the subject of some P800,000 in fines and penalties in the PBA as reported in media. Of course he did not pay for these by his own money,\u201d Nepomuceno said.<\/p>\n
