CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — A 30-year-old mother of four accused a seaman of raping her in her own home.<\/p>\n
The victim Janice (not her real name) identified the suspect as Dennis Manuel, 29, of Barangay Palmayo in Floridablanca town.<\/p>\n
Janice narrated in her complaint that she was already sleeping when Manuel allegedly came to her room and raped her.<\/p>\n
Janice told police that she begged Manuel not to hurt her children. Manuel assured that he will not harm the children only if Janice will submit herself to him.<\/p>\n
Janice also said the suspect also warned the victim not to tell anyone about what happened or else he will kill her children.<\/p>\n
But Manuel, in his counter affidavit submitted to the prosecutors’ office,\u00a0vehemently\u00a0denied the accusation against him, saying he could not be involved in the incident because he was still sleeping at the time the alleged rape incident was committed.<\/p>\n
“Noong ika-6 ng Marso humigit kumulang 7 o’clock ng gabi ay katext ko ang aking kasintahan na isa rin seawoman na kadarating lang at ito ay kasalukuyang naninirahan sa Barangay Nao Mexico, Pampanga at kaming dalawa ay umabot na nagtetexan hanggang 9 o’clock ng gabi at ako ay nakatulog na ng mga oras na iyon,” he stated in his counter affidavit.<\/p>\n
