ANGELES CITY\u2013Holy Angel University, the first Catholic school in the country founded by the laity, will offer online review for board exams to its students and alumni starting January 28.<\/p>\n
Developed by the University\u2019s College of Information and Communications Technology (CICT) along with the different faculty from other colleges, Holy Angel is now considered one of the first schools in the Philippines to offer this kind of program.<\/p>\n
The review is for those taking board exams for Certified Public Accountants, Engineers, Teachers, Engineers, Architects, Criminologists, Psychometricians, among others, wherein thousands of questions are compiled in a board-exam type questionnaire to be answered by the aspiring professionals.<\/p>\n
Dr. Jaime Cortez, HAU Vice President for Academic Affairs, disclosed that under the university\u2019s online review system, students could access and answer as many sets of questions as they want at their most convenient time inside the campus. After answering the questions, the results of their \u201cmock\u201d exam will be immediately seen.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor most students, review classes after graduation are just too short and too expensive, so we are offering this service to give our students a better fighting chance in the very competitive board exams,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, CICT Dean Joseph Esquivel said the exam could be taken by an Angelite (what HAU college students are called) as early as in his freshman year.<\/p>\n
Regular updates on the questions will be uploaded to the system for students to answer up-to-date queries that would be possibly present in the actual board exam, Esquivel said. \u25cfJoelyn G. Baluyut<\/p>\n
