ANGELES CITY,<\/strong>\u00a0Pampanga \u2013 Veteran newsman Robledo Sanchez on November 29 requested Commission on Audit to immediately conduct a special audit of the job order appointments of the City Government under the administration of Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan.<\/p>\n

In the letter, which Sanchez sent to the COA National, Regional and City offices and addressed to COA Chairperson Gracia Pulido-Tan, COA Region III Assistant Commissioner Winnie Rose Encallado, and COA Angeles City Audit Team Leader Ma. Rowena Bucu, respectively, Sanchez compelled COA to perform an audit of the Pamintuan job order appointments due to the revelation from several barangay officials that the names of their relatives have been included in the list of job order employees without their knowledge.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Barangay Lourdes Northwest Kagawad William David hit the Pamintuan administration for including the name of his wife, Irene David, in the list of the job order employees.<\/p>\n

\u201cAng malaking katanungan, kung hindi alam ng mga nakalistang tao na kasama sila sa mga JO, sino ang pumipirma ng payroll ng mga taong ito kada buwan?\u201d said David, \u201cWalang kaalam-alam ang asawa ko dito kaya sino ang pumipirma ng payroll niya?\u201d<\/p>\n

This is also the case for Barangay Cutcut Kagawad Roy Ogurida, whose sister\u2019s name, Joan Lozano, have also been included.<\/p>\n

\u201cNakalista ang mga pangalan nila sa payroll pero kung hahanapin mo sila ay hindi naman talaga nagtatrabaho dahil ni hindi nila alam na nakalista pala sila bilang mga job order,\u201d said Ogurida.<\/p>\n

Sanchez said that these recent events prove that he has been right all along about the ghost employees of the City Government.<\/p>\n

\u201cAng mga kamag-anak ng mga barangay kagawad na nakalista bilang JO at hindi alam ang tungkol dito,\u201d Sanchez said \u201cSila ang mga \u2018ghost employees\u2019 ng City Hall\u201d.<\/p>\n

Sanchez said that if the relatives of barangay officials have no idea about the inclusion of their names in the list of job order employees, it would mean that their salaries are being claimed by someone else.<\/p>\n

\u201cAng dapat malaman natin ngayon ay kung sino ba ang nakikinabang sa sweldong nakapangalan sa kamag-anak ng mga kagawad,\u201d Sanchez said.<\/p>\n

Sanchez also stressed that the 2,506 job order employees of the City Hall, on which the City Government spends around P240 million a year, is detrimental to the city, especially the so-called \u2018ghost employees\u2019.<\/p>\n

On October 19, 2012, Sanchez filed a complaint against Pamintuan, City Accountant Wilfredo Tiotuico, City Budget Officer Fe Corpuz, City Treasurer Juliet Quinsaat and the different respective Department Heads before the Office of the Ombudsman in relation to the 2,506 job order employees of the City Government.<\/p>\n
