CLARK FREEPORT \u2013 The Philippines\u2019 largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific is expected to fly its 70-millionth passenger any time in the next seven days.
\n\u201cSince CEB started operations in 1996, we have now flown very close to 70 million passengers. This number is a testament to how much CEB\u2019s trademark low fares and extensive route network have revolutionized air travel in the Philippines,\u201d said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.
\nThe countdown started Friday during the launch of the North Philippine (NorthPhil) Tourism and Travel Expo at the Marquee Mall in Angeles City, where CEB is the official airline partner for the 4th year.
\n\u201cCEB\u2019s one and only lucky 70 millionth passenger will check in on any of our approximately 2,000 weekly domestic and international flights, within a week from now. That lucky Juan will receive 70 free domestic one-way tickets, so we are very excited to hit this milestone and award our lucky passenger,\u201d Iyog added.
\nCEB kicks off the countdown with a PHP7 base fare seat sale to any of the airline\u2019s 32 domestic and 19 international destinations. Sale period is until November 12, 2012 or until seats last, for travel from June 1 to December 15, 2013, except for Osaka which has a travel period from June 1 to October 19, 2013.
\nThe airline also holds a special P0 (zero) base fare seat sale for its Clark hub, just in time for the NorthPhil Expo where CEB has a booth. The seat sale period is also until November 12, 2012 or until seats last, for travel from March 1 to May 30, 2013. Up for grabs are seats from Clark to Hong Kong, Singapore, Macau, Bangkok and Cebu.
\nThese seat sale fares are available through www.cebupacificair.com only, and are exclusive of check-in baggage allowance, taxes, fuel surcharges and admin fees.
\nCEB currently operates 10 Airbus A319, 22 Airbus A320 and 8 ATR-72 500 aircraft. Its fleet of 40 aircraft \u2013 with an average age of 3.6 years \u2013 is the largest aircraft fleet in the Philippines. Between 2012 and 2021, Cebu Pacific will take delivery of 19 more Airbus A320 and 30 Airbus A321neo aircraft orders. It is slated to begin long-haul services in the 3rd quarter of 2013.
