BACOLOR, Pampanga\u2014The local chapter of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) in Pampanga partnered anew with several government and non-government organizations for another round of tree-planting under its \u201cOplan: Broadcastreeing\u201d project along the FVR Megadike bordering this town and the City of San Fernando.
\nPENRO chief, Leo Ignacio, said a two-kilometer stretch of the anti-lahar structure had been planted with more than 1,500 seedlings of Banaba in an effort to strengthen the dike\u2019s slopes and contribute in the international movement against global warming.
\nRommel Santiago, CENRO head, said the tree-planting activity will be the last for the year since the peak of the rainy season is about to end.
\nSantiago said the Bureau of Fire Protection has committed to water the newly-planted trees regularly to ensure their survival especially during the dry season.

\nPangan reiterated that the tree-planting activity is also geared towards promoting the advocacy of propagating trees in accordance to the national government\u2019s Executive Order No. 26 or the National Greening Program.
