CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The Provincial Government has strengthened its agro-eco-tourism efforts in promoting the indigenous peoples\u2019 socio-cultural heritage and economic growth in Barangay Nabuclod in Floridablanca town.
\nThis came as Governor Lilia Pineda envisioned making the \u201cPampanga Upland Eco-Adventure\u201d project in the said town a premier tourist destination in the country and in the region in particular.
\nPineda believed that with the full cooperation of all sectors in the province, the project in the said upland barangay has a \u201cbright future\u201d as an ideal place for both local and foreign tourists.
\nThe Pampanga Upland Eco-Adventure project is aimed at focusing the development of eco-tourism in the area while giving emphasis to the provision of livelihood opportunities for the Aetas.
\nRoy Imperial, consultant to the governor, said initially that Capitol has put up necessary facilities in the area, while plans for other structures like additional view decks are already being finalized.
\nImperial said some of the other proposed structures are the Stairway to Bolven, the Hanging Restaurant, Ascension Site, and a new zipline to be installed at the View Deck 3.
\nThe first view deck with a small swimming pool for Aeta kids offers a view of the Aeta Village and serves as venue for the Aetas\u2019 cultural presentations.
\nAmong other proposed activities are mountain hiking, gareta riding, and cable car riding.
\nVisitors can also go to the Board Walk and the Hanging Restaurant from one of the view decks. Facilities like mobile store, camping site, and nipa huts will be built in the area offering traditional massage services.
\nWith these plans, the governor announced that the Provincial Government, through the Provincial Manpower Training Center, is now providing the necessary trainings in traditional massage for interested Aetas.
