ANGELES CITY \u2013 Electric power will be cut off this morning (April 18) in five towns in Bataan to give way to \u201ccorrective maintenance\u201d of power lines.<\/p>\n
National Grid Corporation of the Philippines\u2019 (NGCP) announced Monday the power shutdown in Hermosa, Orani, Samal, Abucay and Balanga City.<\/p>\n
NGCP North Luzon of the Corporate Communication Division Lilibeth Gaydowen said these towns are servied by the Peninsula Electric Cooperative (PENELCO).<\/p>\n
\u201cThere will be a corrective maintenance of partially detached conductor along the line segment of Hermosa Balanga 69kV line,\u201d Gaydowen explained.<\/p>\n
She assured the affected folk, however, that \u201cnormal operations will immediately resume after work completion.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cNGCP customers and the general public are advised to take the necessary preparations and precautions for this scheduled interruption,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
