CITY OF SAN FERNANDO \u2013 Governor Lilia Pineda noted that majority of the mayors in the province were late during the Health summit held Friday at the Kings Royale here.
\nPineda, on her opening remarks, appeared to be disappointed of the local chief executives who have seemed to have shown \u201cdisinterest\u201d on the summit, which she claimed is \u201cimportant in bolstering the health programs of the province for the benefit of the Kapampangans.\u201d
\nAmong other mayors who were late were Jun Tetangco (Apalit), Condralito Dela Cruz (Porac), Venancio Macapagal (San Luis), Ric Rivera (Guagua), Peter Flores (Masantol), Lito Naguit (Sto. Tomas), Lala Leoncio (Sasmuan), Arturo Naguit (Minalin) and Marino Morales (Mabalacat).
\nAs this developed, the governor rewarded Mayor Eddie Guerrero, who came early and was alone during the roll call.
\n\u201cDahil ikaw lang ang nagpunta rito, Mayor Guerrero, mayroon kang limang milyong pisong pondo para sa iyong proyektong pangkalusugan (Because you\u2019re the only one here, you have P5 million fund for your Health projects),\u201d Pineda said.
\nThe health summit dubbed \u201cWalang TB para sa bawat Pampangue\u00f1o\u201d was organized by the Provincial Government through the efforts of Health Committee chair Board Member Monina Laus.
\nIt was attended by more than 500 health workers from various district hospitals, provincial hospital and rural health workers in different towns.
